Argonian
Little is known and less is understood about the reptilian denizens of Black Marsh. Years of defending their borders have made the Argonians experts in guerilla warfare, and their natural abilities make them equally at home in water and on land. They are well-suited for the treacherous swamps of their homeland, and have developed natural immunities to the diseases and poisons that have doomed many would-be explorers into the region. Their seemingly expressionless faces belie a calm intelligence, and many Argonians are well-versed in the magical arts. Others rely on stealth or steel to survive, and their natural agility makes them adept at either. They are, in general, a reserved people, slow to trust and hard to know. Yet, they are fiercely loyal, and will fight to the death for those they have named as friends.
In Morrowind, like most beast races, the majority of the argonian race happens to be enslaved. The treaty signed between the imperials and the dunmer have allowed the dunmer to keep their ancient slave rights since the imperial occupation 300 years ago. This deal also hasn't stopped the dunmer from doing slave raids on the borders of Black Marsh, even though they aren't supposed to. This long history of competition, fighting, and slavery, have caused very tense relations between even the most laid back of the dunmer and argonians. As a result, free argonians walking around Morrowind are generally not appreciated in the more traditional regions, with feelings, even among non dunmer, ranging anywhere from mistrust to fairly open antagonism.

Breton
Passionate and eccentric, poetic and flamboyant, intelligent and willful, the Bretons feel an inborn, instinctive bond with the mercurial forces of magic and the supernatural. Many great sorcerers have come out of their home province of High Rock, and in addition to their quick and perceptive grasp of spellcraft, enchantment, and alchemy, even the humblest of Bretons can boast a high resistance to destructive and dominating magical energies.
Bretons have become part of Morrowind's history for quite some time. Ever since the imperial occupation, bretons have moved to Morrowind to make their fortune or start new lives. In general, bretons do fairly well in Morrowind. In regions where outlanders are for the most part tolerated, they are treated like any other men or mer race. Some have even joined the Telvanni, a Great House, either as members or mercenaries, since they are valued for their magical potential. For a Great House that normally dislikes outlanders, that is quite a big step... If you consider joining House Telvanni a big step.

Dark Elf
Dark Elves are the dark-skinned Elven peoples of the Eastern Empire. "Dark" is variously understood to mean "dark-skinned," "gloomy," and "ill-favored by fate." The Dunmer and their national character embrace these various connotations with enthusiasm. In the Empire, "Dark Elves" is the common usage, but in their Morrowind homeland, and among their Aldmeri brethren, they call themselves the "Dunmer". The dark-skinned, red-eyed Dark Elves combine powerful intellect with strong and agile physiques, producing superior warriors and sorcerers. On the battlefield, Dark Elves are noted for their skilled and balanced integration of swordsmen, marksmen, and war wizards. In character, they are grim, aloof, and reserved, distrusting and disdainful of other races.
Dunmer/dark elves are the natives of Morrowind, and you will be hard pressed not to find any in even the most imperial of occupied areas. Dunmer occupy the many factions of Morrowind, including the Great Houses, and all hold different views and ideologies. However, Dunmer are a proud race, and in the more traditional areas, hold distrust to other races. Outlander Dunmer(Dunmer who lived and grew up in Cyrodil or other countries) are easily recognized in Morrowind, and are sometimes even more distrusted than outlanders of a different race.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
High Elf
In Imperial speech, the haughty, tall, golden-skinned peoples of Summerset Isle are called "High Elves," but they call themselves the "Altmer," or the "Cultured People." In the Empire, "High" is often understood to mean "tall," "proud," or "snobbish." The High Elves confidently consider themselves, with some justice, as the most civilized culture of Tamriel; the common tongue of the Empire, Tamrielic, is based on Altmer speech and writing, and most of the Empire's arts, crafts, and sciences are derived from High Elven traditions. However, the High Elf's smug self-assurance of his superiority can be hard to bear for those of other races. Deft, intelligent, and strong-willed, High Elves are often gifted in the arcane arts, and High Elves boast that their sublime physical natures make them far more resistant to disease than the "lesser races."
The altmer and the dunmer have had a long history together. Both of these elves came from the same ancestors, the chimer. The two races generally have a basic sense of both respect for each other, but old, generational problems still linger. Dunmer may envy the altmer for keeping their golden skin from their common ancestors, and idealogical differences may also play a part in shaky relations. For the most part though, altmer are respected and tolerated, even in regions where other men and mer races wouldn't be.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Imperial
Natives of the civilized, cosmopolitan province of Cyrodiil, the Imperials are well-educated and well-spoken. Imperials are also known for the discipline and training of their citizen armies. Though physically less imposing than the other races, the Imperials have proved to be shrewd diplomats and traders, and these traits, along with their remarkable skill and training as light infantry, have enabled them to subdue all the other nations and races, and to have erected the monument to peace and prosperity that comprises the Glorious Empire.
Imperials have a curious relation with the dunmer. It was their race after all, that ended up occupying their country about 300 years ago. In the more traditional areas, dunmer have spite for the imperial race, yet, regardless of this, there is a certain uncertainty about the race's capabilities. the men races aren't generally respected by any elves races, yet these beings and their legions ended up conquering all the provinces, and not just elven ones. The dunmer can't shake off the fact that imperial occupation DID bring benefits and trade, even if they dislike the idea of being conquered. The Great House Hlaluu benefited from supporting the Empire and has adopted imperial culture to an extent. Even though House Redoran is fiercely loyal to the old dunmer way of life, a healthy sense of respect exists between Redoran and Legion soldiers since both sides respect honor, service, and skill in combat. Other Great Houses and dunmer on the other hand, treat imperials like they would any other race, if not inwardly dislike them more.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Khajiit
Khajiit hail from the province of Elsweyr and can vary in appearance from nearly Elven to the cathay-raht "jaguar men" to the great Senche-Tiger. The most common breed found in Morrowind, the suthay-raht, is intelligent, quick, and agile. Khajiit of all breeds have a weakness for sweets, especially the drug known as skooma and to a lesser extent, moon sugar. Many Khajiit disdain weapons in favor of their natural claws. They make excellent thieves due to their natural agility and unmatched acrobatics ability. Many Khajiit are also warriors, although this is less common among the suthay-raht.
In Morrowind, khajiits generally have a hard time. A majority of khajiits are actually slaves along with the argonians, with slave raids occurring in their country of Elsweyr. They are generally treated with contempt and open mistrust. Even free khajiits have a hard time. Rarely do natives in Morrowind, dunmer or otherwise, give khajiits much opportunity. As a result, most live as lower class citizens or live a life of crime in organizations like the Thieve's Guild, where they can actually make a living using their natural abilities. This further enforces the stereotype that all khajiits are thieves and law breakers, making any kind of relations among the reserved dunmer shaky at best. Their strong animal instincts, strange way of speech, and interesting views on what property is also shock and even horrify the dunmer. Even other races have a hard time understanding them.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Nord
The citizens of Skyrim are a tall and fair-haired people, aggressive and fearless in war, industrious and enterprising in trade and exploration. Skilled sailors, Nords can be found in seaports and settlements along all the coasts and rivers of Tamriel. Strong, stubborn, and hardy, Nords are famous for their resistance to cold, even magical frost. Violence is an accepted and comfortable aspect of Nord culture; Nords of all classes are skilled with a variety of weapon and armor styles, and they cheerfully face battle with an ecstatic ferocity that shocks and appalls their enemies.
Nords in Morrowind are generally accepted in more imperial dominated areas. However, Dunmer have a particular disliking of this race, remembering all too well the barbarian invasions from Skyrim and Solstiem that occurred during Morrowind's founding. But, opportunities still exist for the nords. Many are members of the imperial Legion stationed in Morrowind. Others serve as soldiers and contract workers in the Fighter's Guild, and still others make a good living as mercenaries for the Great Houses. It is a known fact that even one of the Great House Hlaluu Councillors is in fact, a nord. Nords also make a living from criminal businesses as well, serving as muscle for bandit operations and other criminal organizations.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Orc
These sophisticated barbarian beast peoples of the Wrothgarian and Dragontail Mountains are noted for their unshakeable courage in war and their unflinching endurance of hardships. In the past, Orcs have been widely feared and hated by the other nations and races of Tamriel, but they have slowly won acceptance in the Empire, in particular for their distinguished service in the Emperor's Legions. Orcish armorers are prized for their craftsmanship, and Orc warriors in heavy armor are among the finest front-line troops in the Empire. Most Imperial citizens regard Orc society as rough and cruel, but there is much to admire in their fierce tribal loyalties and generous equality of rank and respect among the sexes.
Orcs in Morrowind are generally distrusted. On the other hand, this distrust actually stems from a universal stigma associated with them, rather than a historical one with the Dunmer. As a result, orcs actually have a pretty good chance of succeeding in Morrowind if they strive hard enough and play their cards right.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Redguard
The most naturally talented warriors in Tamriel, the dark-skinned, wiry-haired Redguards of Hammerfell seem born to battle, though their pride and fierce independence of spirit makes them more suitable as scouts or skirmishers, or as free-ranging heroes and adventurers, than as rank-and-file soldiers. In addition to their cultural affinities for many weapon and armor styles, Redguards are also physically blessed with hardy constitutions and quickness of foot.
Redguards in Morrowind are generally treated much like any other outlander. Their skill in the different combat styles make them ideal mercenaries for the Great Houses, and quite a few of them are members of the Fighter's Guild as well as the Legion.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Woodelf
The Wood Elves are the various barbarian Elven clanfolk of the Western Valenwood forests. In the Empire, they are collectively referred to as "Wood Elves," but "Bosmer," or "the Tree-Sap People," is what they call themselves. "Tree-Sap" suggests the wild vitality and youthful energy of Wood Elves, in contrast with their more dour cousins, the Altmer and Dunmer. Bosmer reject the stiff, formal traditions of Aldmeri high culture, preferring a romantic, simple existence in harmony with the land, its wild beauty and wild creatures. These country cousins of the High Elves and Dark Elves are nimble and quick in body and wit, and because of their curious natures and natural agility, Wood Elves are especially suitable as scouts, agents, and thieves. But most of all, the Wood Elves are known for their skills with bows; there are no finer archers in all of Tamriel.
In Morrowind, Dunmer for the most part tolerate their much wilder cousins, but thats about it. Many of the much more reserved dark elves find their wood elf cousins to be a bit too lax with rules or code of conduct. Rumors of the Bosmerian habit of cannibalism in their native country of Valenwood is always noted. Bosmer for the most part do pretty well in Morrowind, usually becoming middle class citizens, or acting as mercenaries or scouts for various guild functions. A few of them are members of illegal groups, like the Thieve's Guild.

Half-Races
Although it occurs rarely, sometimes different races will have children together. Most of these half-breeds show most of their mother's racial traits, although they might show their father's as well, especially pointed ears if they were elven. Half breeds, if they do occur, are common among humanoids of different countries and elves will sometimes intermarry with their other elven brethren. Even rarer, but possible, is that sometimes humanoids and elves will have children together. Those unions don't last long, as elven and human minds are so different, and usually ends when the elf outlives his or her much shorter lived spouse. Depending on where they live, half breeds are treated differently. Most human dominated countries are tollerant or simply don't care about blood. Elven nations on the other hand, like Morrowind, would be disgusted with a half breed, especially if it were a human/elven mix. Note, that mix breeds between beast races such as khajiits and argonians are impossible either with each other or other races that aren't their own kind. Also of note, Bretons have long been believed to a human race descended from both ancient elves and humans, but they aren't half breeds. Long generations of their kind forming their own empire have made them a unique people, one tied closely to magical forces, but otherwise very human.
Little is known and less is understood about the reptilian denizens of Black Marsh. Years of defending their borders have made the Argonians experts in guerilla warfare, and their natural abilities make them equally at home in water and on land.
