Wild and Native creatures.
Nix Hound
[/img]
Nix Hounds are one of the most common predators found in Morrowind. They look somewhat like a mix between a dog and a cartilaginous insect. About the size of a large wolf, they either travel in packs or couples when hunting for their prey. They are found virtually everywhere in Morrowind, from The Bitter Coast to the Ash Land regions. Although animalistic and primitive looking, they are quite intelligent, and are perfectly adapted for Morrowind's strange climates and regions. They can run extremely fast in short bursts of speed as well as scale mountainous regions easily. They are deadly in groups for travelers, and caution is warned if hunting is bad for them a certain season.
Rat
Rats are the omnivorous and extremely common rodent not only found in Morrowind, but all over the world. Small rats aren't dangerous, but bigger ones about the size of dogs can be dangerous in large groups as well as carry disease. They are voracious when hungered, and can swarm their prey or enemies.
Guar
Guar are herbivorous herd animals and are quite a common site in Morrowind. They have blunt teeth and strong stomachs made for eating the grass that grows in Morrowind, and also have long and very strong back legs for running away from predators such as Nix Hounds. The natives of Morrowind have domesticated some of them for farm work, transporting goods, and for their hides, which are used as clothing and armor. They have a lot of endurance, and can run for miles.
Cliff Racer
Cliff Racers are bat/hawk-like creatures native only to Morrowind. They are extremely persistent yet simple minded hunters, flying over their prey, chasing them for miles, before swooping down with their barbed tail. They are all over Morrowind, but are mainly found in more mountainous regions and cliffs. During the Spring, they nest near Red Mountain, but with the blight and other diseases spreading, they, like most other native wildlife, are forced to expand their living space and are considered a real nuisance to humanoids. Not necessarily dangerous unless there is a flock, there is no running from them in the open. If a fight is started, it is best to just kill the cliff racer than attempt escape.
Scrib
Scribs are the late larval form of kwama. They are insect-like organisms that travel the land, and help start new kwama nests by molting into new queens throughout their lifespan. Most scribs don't survive that long however, and are eaten by both predators and the natives. Scrib jelly, the waxy gel-like substance found under it's shell is bitter and sour in taste, but extremely healthy and is eaten with gusto by the Dunmer peoples. Although practically harmless, scribs can send out a paralyzing silk if they feel threatened by an enemy, but for the most part, are not aggressive.
Kwama Forager
[/img]
Kwama Foragers are a form of kwama that search the natural lands and underground tunnels, looking for new places to colonize a nest. Although not very dangerous to people with some common sense, they are aggressive when defending their territory or searching for new territories.
Alit
Alits are dangerous, solitary predators. Very primitive in intelligence and design, the alits are none the less dangerous to ANY traveler with their crocodile-like maw and and extreme aggression. Although not very fast, alits have an almost ungodly stamina and sharp sense of smell, allowing them to track prey from a great distance before the prey finally tires out. They use their massive maw to grapple prey and suffocate them, holding them down until they choke to death or crush the windpipe. They are also sloppy eaters, gorging on many pounds of meat, even eating the bones. Good news is, they are only usually found in The Ashland Regions and around the grassy areas of Red Mountain... At least... Normally.
Kwama Worker
Kwama Workers are the tenders of the kwama nest, acting almost like giant worker ants. They clear tunnels, tend the queen, and move the eggs. They are large kwama, about the size of a dog with a tough insect-like shell. They are not aggressive though, and it's not their breeding or purpose to attack intruders, simply ignoring them instead. Although unaggressive by nature, they are not completely helpless...
Kwama Warrior
Kwama Warriors aren't actually a separate type of Kwama, but are actually the result of a Kwama Forager merging with a hallowed carapace of a Kwama Worker. The merging takes several days, in which the warrior is very vulnerable. Once merged though, they become deadly and ferocious beasts, defending the hive from intruders at all costs. They are incredibly quick and strong, and have been known to even manipulate electrical currents in the air as well as spit poison...
Slaughterfish
Found in all oceans of every nation is a semi aggressive and very ferocious fish. Armed with ripping teeth and an agile, intimidating eel-like body, the search voraciously for prey in the inky depths. They are opportunistic hunters, and may try to prey on swimming humanoids if they enter their realm....
Silt Strider
Silt Striders are giant, flea-like creatures that serve as a means of transportation between major cities for a fee. They are very docile and unaggressive, and feed from juices from giant mushrooms and plant life. They actually come from the mainland of Morrowind, not the island they were introduced to. The creature has a hallowed out shell, in which the passengers can ride in for a fee, and where the driver manipulates certain organs and tissues to control where the creature goes. Silt Striders and their services are available in Ald'ruhn, Balmora, Seyda Neen, Suran, Gnisis, Molag Mar, Maar Gan, and the North Landing near Vivic.
Kagouti
The Kagouti is an omnivorous subspecies of Alit found in Morrowind. Similar in design, as well as temperament, they are just as dangerous, if not more so as they are faster and quicker then their carnivorous cousins. Unlike the Alit, they are found all over Morrowind, making them dangerous to unprepared travelors....
Kwama Queen
The kwama queen is the life blood of the kwama hive. Without her, the hive will die. The kwama queen is massive and generally fat. Her only job is to supply the hive with eggs, which will serve as the future generations of a hive or another. The kwama queen isn't dangerous, but if she feels threatened, she will clumsily try to fight back. The real danger is when she produces a pheromone that sets the hive in a rage to kill the attackers.
Bull Netch
The male version of the netch. All netch are herbivorous jellyfish-like creatures that hover in the air using their special magical air sacs. If threatened, netch can get nasty and dangerous, but are usually calm if left alone. Netch are harvested in Morrowind as cattle for their skin, which is a durable, colorful leather used in furnishings, armor, clothes, etc... The male netch is physically weaker than the betty netch, but the male netch can use some of it's instinctive magic to summon poison on it's enemies.
Betty Netch
The betty netch is the female version of the netches. Unlike the bull netch, the betty netch is not poisonous, but it is a lot tougher and aggressive.
Mud Crab
Mud crabs are big crustaceans found all over Nirn, not just Morrowind. They are seen mainly in the coastal and Bitter Coast regions. Although not a major threat, they are territorial and aggressive, and some of them found in the Bitter Coast regions have been known to carry Swamp Fever, a very crushing disease.
Shalk
Shalk are giant black beetles found in the ashlands region, an aggressive species of the many large, more docile insects that inhabit Morrowind. Predatory and dangerous, they are capable of spitting a very painful, burning fluid to weaken it's victims.
