[glow=red,2,300] "Damn it!"[/glow] Snarled a rough, demonic voice. Out of the foliage, the xivilai limped heavily out onto the road from Balmora to Vivic, pitch black blood splashing on the scraggly grassy ground. He was a perfect specimen of his race, were it not for his injuries. He stood an astonishing 7-2 feet tall, with a purple/black bare chest rippling with muscle, and tatooed with strange, red runes. Same was for his arms and legs, perfect for running long distances or swinging the enormous battle axe that he dragged behind with one arm. He had a mane of unruly, obsidian black hair that started from his head and ended at his lower back. Two black horns sprouted from the side of said head, and curved slightly around to the back, almost as if they were a demonic crown. His face was in a vicious snarl, showing of a white set of wickedly sharp canines, glowing white eyes narrowed in anger and pain. The demon fell on his knees, the axe falling too with a dull clang, claw-like hands twitching on the dirt road as he slowly lost his conscience. Harsh breathes came out of his powerful lungs, and Kathutet collapsed in this unfamiliar realm... Black blood forming a pool around his body...

Kari Fletcher
Kari's eyes were distracted, as usual, as she made her hasty way down a mostly-unused path that led to Ald Sotha. Why was she going there? Oh, to heal a deadric demon who most likely hated her guts. She sighed. This did not make sense. She didn't do things that didn't make sense. Yet here she was.
Why would she do this? Sure, she'd seen the vision of this demon laying on the ground to die, and yes, she was a healer, but it wasn't generally her job to leap around Morrowind, healing everyone who she saw would be in trouble. There was something, though... She needed to see this demon, and if she was going to see him, she might as well heal him.
When she arrived, she sighed again. Bending nest to the fallen form, Kari ignored the black blood that seeped into her pale clothing. She could deal with that later.
After pulling her long pale hair out of her face, Kari got to work. Nimble hands pulled strangely-shaped leaves and mysterious tools from her pack. She began to grind a poultice, humming a bit to herself. When the pastey substance was almost done, Kari bent again to inspect the wounds. Using water and a bit of liquid from a vial in her pack, Kari cleaned the wounds, and bandaged the less severe ones.
Kari turned back to the worse wounds, and started to spread the gunk on them. When that was done, she bandaged most tightly and splinted the one broken bone before bandaging it. Finally, she drizzled a little bit of liquid into his open mouth and massaged his throat until it was swallowed. Then, she sat back, cleaned her hands, and nodded. He'd survive.

Kathutet, in his unconscious state, gave a small sigh... Or groan... Maybe a growl... It was hard to tell with that incredibly rough voice... He was lying on his back, all bandaged up around his chest, with his broken arm in a splint and bandages as well. The breathing was much more relaxed, less labored and harsh... The small, regenerating ability active in his race, brought on by the herbal medicines and balms, was starting to SLOWLY heal the wounds, although it was much faster then any normal mortal race. The small cuts and bruises were already starting to disappear, the black blood that was starting to soak the bandages stopped, forming a huge scab around the wound underneath the bandages...
Glacius was trudging on the road from Vivic with a craggy smile on his disguised face, glassy blue eyes narrowed in pleasure. It was a nice, temperate day out, with the smell of the recent rain still in the air. The ice atronach was in good spirits, humming a tune he heard a mortal play once... And in his good mood, Glacius was only more surprised when he noticed two figures in the distance on the road. One on the ground, the other stooped over it. Glacius' stride broke into a quick, clumsy jog, new brown robe flapping behind him in urgency. By the Nine, that poor man on the ground looked hurt... Was that other figure a bandit? A robber? A cut throat? Wait a minute... Halting his stride in confusion, Glacius looked at the two figures with confusion and skepticism.. That wasn't a bandit... It was a little nord girl... A thin, rather boyish looking girl with blond hair, almost white in color, that was so long that it went down her back. She seemed to have bandaged the figure on the ground... In which Glacius light blue eyes trailed down to... Then widened with pure shock...
Oh... That was a xivilai... And that appeared to be his axe, the metal implement of war that was nearly as big as the girl.... Glacius' and Kari's eyes met in surprise for a split second, before the ice atronach offered her a very, very, VERY unsure smile. "Um... Hi?" Glacius rumbled uncertainly. Okay... Why was a deadra, a servant of Mehrunes Dagon.... Being healed by this VERY young mortal?...

Kari Fletcher
Kari watched, fascinated, as the demon's wounds began to heal at an amazingly accelerated rate. She had heard such things were possible, but it was amazing to see it firsthand, and know that it was real. She wondered what caused such an anomaly. Perhaps it was a strange dormant magicka use, or something to do with their metabolism.
Suddenly, Kari saw a face flash in front of her eyes. It seemed to belong to a priest, a large muscled one. For him to be so strong, he must have been approaching for a while now. Kari looked up just in time to see Glacius spot her. She nodded a hello, still kneeling beside the demon.
"Hello, sir." Her voice was distant and adult-like, obviously not one that would naturally belong to a child, and the sapphier-blue tattoo on her forehead was bright against her white skin. She did not return the smile, only stared curiously at Glacius, blinking silently.

Glacius inwardly shivered at the gaze... It wasn't normal.... In fact, it was downright unnatural, otherworldly, like himself. On the outside he was starting to become slightly calm, though it fazed a little at the sight of the xivilai. The ice atronach brought a large hand to his thick throat, clearing it politely. "Excuse me maam... Um... You do realize... He... He Isn't human right? Or for that matter mortal? He is an abomination, an enemy of the nine... A servant of Dagon... WHY are you healing him?" The girl couldn't possible be a worshipper could she? Or a summoner... Though it could be possible, now that Glacius remembered those... Unnatural eyes. And... Although distant... She acted like she had some sense... It absolutely blew Glacius away as to WHY....

Kari Fletcher
Kari stared at Glacius for a few moments, processing his words and trying to come up with a reasonable response. In the end, she threw reasonable away, and just hoped her response wouldn't incite this man. She had never been very good with people.
"I am aware that he is neither human nor mortal. I do have eyes, do I not? And what right have you to claim he is an abomination? He is injured, and I am a healer. I am obliged to help those in need, no matter who they ally with. Though I do agree with you, this is a very unusual case for me. I trust that the meaning for my actions will be revealed to me soon."
She blinked again, owlish eyes staring into the distance, before shaking her head and turning back to the injured demon. He seemed like he didn't need any more help. The healing was coming along well, and he looked like he'd be lucid within the hour. Nodding, satisfied, Kari turned back to look up at Glacius.
"I am Kari Fletcher. You are?"

Glacius just studied her intently with a worried expression... Like worry for her mental sanity. But, if worse came to worse and it woke up angry, Glacius could fend it off. Besides... She acted like she knew what she was doing. The ice atronach sighed. "My name is Glacius, no last name, priest of the Nine. It is nice to meet you Kari Fletcher..." The muscled man held up a hand to shake hers, then glanced at the Xivilai. "Well... I don't know if we should risk it if you are so determined to make sure he is alright... But maybe we should move him off the road before... More travelers see us?"
(This would be a good time for Suki and Hotaru I think... To come in... It's going to be a pretty big fight.)

Kari reached up to shake hands, but drew back at the last moment. "It is nice to meet you as well, Glacius. I would shake, but I'm not sure if you want blood all over your hands..." She nodded, checking on Kathutet again.
"Yes, I suppose we should. He is healing well, and the tonic should keep him asleep and numb for at least a quarter of an hour more. We can safely move him." She then looked down at the hulking demonic body. How exactly was she to help lift him at all? She may have been swift, but she spent little time training herself to be strong, and this certainly required strength... She looked up at Glacius again.
"I'm sorry, but I do not think that I will be of much use when carrying him. I unfortunately have little time to spare for strength training, and while it is regrettable at times such as these, I find that other duties must come first."

Glacius shook his head as if to dismiss the question. People shouldn't ask for charity if they needed it. "I just hope you know what you doing..." Glacius admitted... Saving a deadra... The ice atronach had to smile at this. This girl was more like the dragon god Akatosh then she knew. With a sigh, Glacius gently lifted the Xivilai on his massive shoulders with ease. Glacius almost made it look easy.... The priest then set Kathutet near the side of the road behind some bushes with ease, gently lowering the demon down. Glacius then turned and smile at Kari... But then the ice atronach frowned....

Kari nodded, her eyes clouding. "I know what I'm doing. It's why I'm doing it that boggles my mind." The words were only mumblings, her talking to herself, but she looked up in case Glacius wished to add anything. He was staring behind her with a frown, and she turned around to see what it was he saw...
OOC: *dies* I can't think of a reason for Suki and Hotaru to randomly visit an incredibly creepy abandoned ruin. >.<
