(Its been several generations. It was the Tribunal and House Hlaluu that supported them.)
Vintus paused. "Well, without Legion rule, all non Dunmer would get kicked out of Morrowind or worse. Slavery would be a lot worse without Legions at least trying to keep an eye on slave raids in Elleswere and Black Marsh. Illegal organizations like the Commona Tong have lots of power in House Hlaluu, and without our support, Morrowind in it's current form would fall into chaos with an all out civil war breaking out. There is much tension with the Tribunal Temple and Great House Leaders, especially houses like Redoran and Telvani. Legion Influence keeps it from getting TOO out of control." Vintus then gave Kohaku a long hard look through his steel helm. "Your ancestors probably came to Morrowind after it was absorbed in Imperial Rule. If we leave, we are leaving control to the Dunmer, and although I have nothing against them personally, a lot of them don't like other races like you and me and want you to leave their homeland at LEAST." Vintus sighed. "I know the Legions aren't perfect. Corruption exists everywhere. If you look up some Morrowind history though, you learn just how intolerant it used to be." After a long pause, Vintus whispered, "It is a unique and beautiful country. It may not be Cyrodil, but for now it's home. I don't want it to go anarchy."

Kohaku
Haku sighed. "Whatever. I've got my own grudges, I guess. Let's just drop it. Not worth the arguing." She flicked a braid from her face, smiling again. What was done was done and there was no going back now.
OOC: Sorry, short post. I just wish I knew more about the history! Erg!

Vintus shrugged. There was nothing to say about it. Kohaku was loyal to her nation where she grew up in. The same was for him and Cyrodil and her army. "On another note, Do you travel around Morrowind a lot or are you just starting out the adventuring slash smith career?"

Kohaku
Haku, still grinning, replied, "I'm new to pretty much everything. I started traveling, what, a month ago? Before that, I'd only ever left my village to go with Shesith to weapons tournaments and to go to the occasional market and try to sell my work. Oh, Shesith is my teacher in both the art of smithing and the skill of weapons-fighting. He's really great, but chose to stay with my village rather than travel, and so he doesn't have a lot of field experience. So, I have to travel and gather my own field experience. It's really rather exciting, though the endless walking gets dull after a while and the blisters are absolutely killer."
Wasn't that the truth? Blisters, angry creatures attacking, and rather uncomfortable ground to sleep on were the more than common afflictions of the traveller. Still, Haku generally was able to enjoy herself. She wasn't the type to be easily discouraged.

Vintus nodded. "What armor are you hoping to specialize in? Heavy? Medium? Light?"

Kohaku
Haku shrugged. "My issue is, I don't like to pick favorites. I suppose that I'll like light armor more, as I myself prefer it. It's more versatile and I find it easier to fight in light armor, as do many. I've also seen the light armor sells better, because a lot of people don't want to be encumbered by heavy armor while travelling."
She grinned. "And as much as I'd like to say that I make only what I think is beautiful and good, I've got to make a living. Besides, any smith that you talk to can say that you end up making a whole lot more nails and coils of wire than fancy armor and swords. Demand is more important than personal preferences, unless you're a famous artist. As it is, I always have to remember that I need funds to pay for the fancy supplies that I use in special projects. And funds means that I need to make what people will buy, be it nails or jewelry. I've got to do what the people want."

Vintus nodded. "Alas, the economy is doing well. It won't be long before you hit the pros. When you get the chance, you should go the capital city Mournhold. I hear there is a mage in Ebonheart that can transport you there for free. Thats where the REAL opportunity is. Just got to get past those creepy ordinators that patrol the place because Alexemia lives there, one of the Tribunal Gods..... Can't get my suspicion about those guys out of my blood.. I understand being true to your faith, but you have to learn to be a little tolerant and accepting of others and their beliefs... Ordinators... They... Have you ever seen one in Vivic? Their indoril armor with the creepy mask faces and wicked looking sabers? They have a bad feel about them. If you have seen them in Vivic, the way they patrol the city grounds and the way they look at you... They don't seem normal. Even dangerous, and the rumors about them and The Neravine Cult... Not good... Slaughtering a whole bunch of ragged robed prophets sounds a little too zealous...."

Kohaku
Haku absently linked her thumbs and forefingers to form two interlocking circles. It was something her grandma had shown her, to ward off bad luck. "You've got that right," she half-whispered.
OOC: I'm sorry about the short post, but it's really hard for me when I have no real idea about what the charries are talking about, especially when Haku's supposed to have been raised on Morrowind.

Hold on... Ordinators are the crusadors and guards of the temple districts and the native Tribunal. They are very dark people, very arrogant, very cold, very paranoid, and very deadly. They wear a special kind of elite indoril armor. Pic below. They always watch you, almost hungering for you to blurt some kind of "heresy" in their prescense or find an excuse to do their "work". When you play Morrowind, your neck hair litterally crawls when you walk by one and you hear, "We are watching you.... Scum...." With particualr venom in their voice. When you have the bad luck of getting in a fight with one, you better hope your extremely powerful and with the best armor possible. Now that i think about it, might have been better for you to make an outlander. ;D

Vintus didn't say anything for a while... But then broke into a relieved grin as they came upon Hla Oad. He could see the small wooden shacks in the distance. Vintus looked at Haku. "Well... We are here." He stated calmly.

OOC: Does this mean that we move the thread on to Hla Oad, or is Vintus gonna' leave Haku here anyway?

OOC: I know... Ugh. I really don't feel like it right now, though. I'm on an adrenaline rush from the Lyssa/Riot posts and I don't feel like replying... Give me a little bit, k? PM me if I look like I've forgotten. xD I do that forgetting thing a lot.
