The Ghostfence itself is a colossal magical artifact that completely encircles Red Mountain and prevents the Blight from spilling its corruption across the rest of Vvardenfel. 	Urshilaku Camp The Ashlander Urshilaku Tribe has a permanent settlement at Urshilaku Camp in the Ashlands region north of Maar Gan village. This tribe is known for it's dogged beliefs in the Nerevarine prophecy, and despite constant persecution from the Tribunal Temple, has stuck stubbornly to those beliefs. 	Ald'ruhn Easily one of the more larger cities of Morrowind, Ald'run is a little piece of civilization in the Ash Lands. Nestled near the southwest slopes of Red Mountain, Ald'ruhn is the capital city of House Redoran. Most of the Redoran Councillors live in a large structure called "Under Skar", the hallowed out shell of an emperor crab. 	The Ash Wastelands The Ashlands are a fitting name of this region. The place is a wasteland... Full of gray, barren rock and dirt because of past volcanic activity and ash storms. The region is treacherous to travel... lack of clean fresh water, ash storms, the Blight, predators, and unfriendly ashlanders make this place inhospitable and one of the most dangerous places in Morrowind. Ashlands Region

The Ashlands are a sizable region near the middle of Morrowind. The land is a barren wasteland, full of colorless gray silt and rock with the occasional lava flow that spews beneath the earth. The only plant life here is scraggly, and this place is home to Morrowind's most vicious predators. Ash storms are very common here, making this unforgivable land hard to travel... And the better question... Why would you? But sentient beings aren't erased here. Many dunmer ashlanders live in this region while civilization kicked them out in this harsh region.
